Before we get started, let’s review what line notes and space notes are. The line notes are notes placed on the lines. In other words, the note head (oval dot) has a line running through it.
The space notes are placed in the spaces in between the lines. Now, let’s take a look at the two tools we us to help us speed up the note learning process.

Line Notes In Treble Clef
To help us remember the names of the line notes, we use an acronym that has been taught for generations. Starting with the bottom line of the staff, we work our way up saying “Every-Good-Boy-Does-Fine”. The first letter of each word represents the note names for each line. Try this now.
Space Notes In Treble Clef
For the spaces, it is even easier. Just remember how to spell the word “face” and work your way from the bottom space note to the top space note. The letters “F-A-C-E” are the note names for each of the spaces. Can you see how this works?
